Stemless tumbler

Attica, Greece, 3rd quarter of 5th century BCE

Site: Panticapaeum (Kerch)

Terracotta-coloured ceramic clay. Black glazed stemless tumbler – large type with a smooth lip and two horizontal handles. Inside one of the tumblers on the bottom is a circle and stamped palmettes connected by arches; another is decorated with concentric circles and arches.
